Ginnifer goodwin and topher grace dating
is a 2004 American romantic comedy film directed by Robert Luketic, written by Victor Levin, and starring Kate Bosworth, Topher Grace, Josh Duhamel, Gary Cole, Ginnifer Goodwin, Sean Hayes, and Nathan Lane.
Heavily inspired by Ram Gopal Varma's 1995 Indian film Rangeela, the film follows a small-town girl (Bosworth) who wins a contest for a date with a male celebrity (Duhamel), and a love triangle forms between the girl, the star, and the girl's best friend (Grace).
Totally sugary and so perky, at times, it can be disturbing. She's the biggest typecast of the wholesome girl next door and her squealing and vacant, wide eyed stares belong on the Bold and the Beautiful. And although she tries, Ginnifer Goodwin's character of Cathy is so flat and one dimensional. But instead of laughing, you just feel like slapping her. He did a wonderful job conveying his jealous, unrequited love.
However, although I liked the story, I was totally disappointed with the acting. She should be slutty, but instead of any sort showing of sex appeal (the only character with sex appeal is Angelica the bartender who I truly believe is one of the best actors in the film), Cathy's dialogue is littered with overt, tacky, cringeworthy sexual innuendo. Such a shame for Goodwin, as I was impressed with her performance in Mona Lisa Smile and this character is well beneath her talent. I truly hope we see more from him, because he was the only actor in this film I didn't feel like slapping.
The name of "Tad Hamilton" has been seen as a cross between the names of screen idols Tab Hunter and George Hamilton.
After seeing Tad's house, Rosalee requests to go back to the hotel and soon returns home, leaving Tad thoughtful. This story is sweet and the ending did have me going "awBut let me put it his way: it will only make you "awww" if you are a chick flick fan. I think even the tween market will be disappointed with it. Everyone else will just walk out and have forgotten it within 15 minutes.During a phone call with his agent, Tad insists that he wants to turn over a new leaf, and will not return to Los Angeles for a while. When he picks Rosalee up for a date he leaves a good impression on Rosalee's father, who had studied hard for the encounter.
The film opens with a soldier and nurse getting out of two 1940-style cars in the middle of night.
